Widom Universal Relay Switch Pack

WiDom Universal Relay Switch is a Z-Wave certified "in wall device", for ON/OFF control of electrical loads (sockets, boiler, heater, oven, lights, etc. ) controlled either locally or via the Internet. Integrated with a timer for the timed switch off and is able to react autonomously to signals arriving from the Z-Wave network, which signals an alarm for abnormal levels of CO2, window breakage, flooding, etc. The different types of alarm that the device reacts to are configurable, as well as the mode of reaction. It is the only Z-Wave switch based on the use of a latching relay.

Power sockets can be controlled and disconnected in the event of a flooding alarm signal; the same alarm can trigger the activation of a pump. The device can be configured to behave differently depending on the number of times that an existing button installed in the system is pressed. For example, pressing the same button twice can be configured to turn off all lights in a given area.
Of course, the device is reprogrammable and its "behaviour" can be modified directly by the user.

The WiDom Universal Relay Switch has been designed to be installed in junction boxes, in close proximity to lamps.
Thanks to the unique AC Sensing feature, WiDom Universal Relay Switch integrates seamlessly into the existing system without having to run new cables.

Can be controlled by any type of buttons or switches

WiDom Universal Relay Switch can be controlled with any switch or button. Pre-installed switches and buttons will work in the usual way, but you will be able to configure new behaviours and scenarios to a sequence of two or three clicks or a press-and-hold action, depending on the type of buttons or switches installed.

Can be controlled by computers, Tablets and Smartphones

The systems built with the WiDom devices can also be controlled via the Web.

Reacts to alarms

The system is able to react to alarm signals originating from other devices, such as CO2 levels, window breakage, flooding, etc. The different types of alarm which the device reacts to are configurable, as well as the mode of reaction. Power sockets can be controlled and disconnected in the event of a flooding alarm signal and the same alarm can trigger the activation of a pump.

A timer is built into the device for time-based activations.

Ready to be installed, but fully configurable

The device is supplied ready for installation. It can be configured to behave differently depending on the number of times that an existing button installed in the system is pressed: for example, a "double click" action can be configured to turn off all the lights in a given area. Universal Relay Switch can be supplied with custom configurations.

  • Scheduled Off: lamp or connected load on, turning off after the time interval defined by the user.
  • Flashing: the device continuously toggles the state of the connected lamp or other electrical load from off to on, with a user defined power on/off interval.

FAQ

WiDom Universal Relay Switch is a Z-Wave certified “in wall device” based on latching relay which does not use energy when on or off. WiDOM Universal Relay Switch is an ON/OFF device that can be used as both a local and remote switch. It can be managed both through an external switch or a Z-Wave  network command.

It is the only Z-Wave device based on latching relay; it supports a 2 wire AC Sensing connection that allows the device to be integrated in any existing system with no further cables needed; it allows a time-controlled loads implementation, has a very low running costs due to its very low consumption.

The AC Sensing allows the system to implement a 2 wires connection where a temporary power supply interruption is registered as a command.  This connection is most beneficial when, for instance, you need to install the device near a  wall lamp.

It protects loads that are particularly sensitive to sudden switching, (such as halogen headlights) by setting a protection time limit below which the load cannot be turned on again.

It is a function that allows for an extra switch/button to be added to a light system, without the need to add or modify the existing wiring.

Yes. WiDom Universal Relay Switch features a dry contact to control loads connected to a secondary power supply, within the limits set for the device.
